Recently I have had
the pleasure of attending a number of weddings where Heledd has been
playing the Harp, from the wedding ceremony to the wedding breakfast.
The harp creates
the perfect atmosphere at any occasion - weddings, receptions
parties and other functions, as well as providing background music
at restaurants. Heledd plays a variety of music ranging from
traditional Welsh and classical through to popular pieces including
songs from the musicals and by modern artists...
Church/Chapel
Ceremonies Harp music can be played for guests whilst the register
is being signed, and occasionally may be chosen in preference to the
organ prior to the arrival of the bride.
Civil
Ceremonies
Harp music offers a pleasant welcome
to the guests arriving at the venue. As an alternative to recorded
music, the bride may make her entrance, and also leave with the
groom, to the accompaniment of the harp. Here, traditional Wedding
Marches or more modern pieces may be chosen. The harp may also be
played for the guests during the signing of the register
The Drinks Reception
A variety of pieces played as
background music while the guests mingle prior to the meal, and
during the taking of the photographs. (Approximately one and a half
to two hours)
The Wedding Breakfast
A varied collection of
background pieces played during the receiving line, or a specified
piece to welcome the bride and groom, then continuing throughout the
meal until the speeches. (Approximately one and a half to two
hours). |
