Wayne and Lucy married Saturday at St Jame's Church in Thornton Bradford. Wayne was best man last year at the wedding of Waine and Hayley at All Saints Pontefract See November 2007's blog). Role reversal this year saw Waine (with an I) as best man for Wayne (with a Y) - almost poetic!

Following the ceremony we made use of a local ruin for a number of photos of Wayne and lucy before making the journey over to The Craigland's Hotel in Ilkley for the wedding reception. The evening was rounded off with a barbecue and firework display.

Diane Added (Mum): Fantastic! Really like the black and white and mixed colours.

Amy and Andrew chose Goldthorpe Parish church for their wedding ceremony on Saturday with their reception at Burntwood Court Hotel.

The modern looking exterior of the church belies it's more traditional feel inside and a co-operative vicar allowed photos during the ceremony from up front in the choir stalls. Following the ceremony and photos nearby the wedding celebrations continued at Burntwood Court.

Rachel Added: Brilliant, a fantastic day which I'm sure Amy and Andrew will be be able to re-live through the wonderful photos.

Jamie, Sarah and their son Harry met up with me back in April for a pre-wedding shoot at Newmillerdam, this now seems like an absolute age ago and so it was good to catch up again as they  married on Friday at South Kirkby church before moving onto Burntwood Court for their wedding reception and wedding breakfast.

Chris and Sarah married on Thursday at Waterton Park near Wakefield. Following their civil ceremony we quickly took care of the formal photos allowing the couple chance to spend some time with their guests before the wedding breakfast. The threatening skies over the island for once helped expedite the group photos, everyone keen to complete them before the rain started - which thankfully stayed off until everyone was sat down in the Waterton Suite for the wedding breakfast. 

Following speeches and time to relax we headed off for another location where Chris and Sarah could have some quiet time alone, well except for me asking them to walk this way and stand here etc!

The evening reception and BBQ took place down in Squires bar where guests were also signing the couples signing board using photos I'd taken at their pre-wedding shoot earlier in the year.

Mark and Vicky chose the local church of St Thomas' in Featherstone for their wedding ceremony on Saturday before continuing the celebrations a short hop down the M62 at Carlton Towers just outside Snaith.

The weather held exactly long enough for the guests to enjoy garden game and drinks on the lawn during and after photos. The first spots of rain appearing as the last guests were making their way inside for the wedding breakfast - talk about lucky!

The photos were finished off in the evening just after ten with photos on the steps of Carlton Towers.

Vicky Added: We had an absolutely brilliant day - the weather held off for us and didn't rain until later on! We loved every minute of it and Chris really captured the day well. Thank you!

James and Michelle married on Thursday at Hazlewood Castle near York. Following their wedding ceremony the couple were blessed in the Chapel of St Leonard's. With a mixed forecast for the weather, photos were taken both inside and out, before ending the night on the steps of the Great Hall.

James wore the traditional tartan of his family whilst Michelle chose a two piece dress with a fantastic scrunched hem supplied by Hoops a Daisy in Sandal. (Ok maybe not the most apt description of the dress, but I don't wear dresses...well not very often!)

9th August 2008 Wedding, St Francis of Assisi church, Leeds to Wentbridge House near Pontefract - Maurice and Catherine

Maurice and Catherine married at St Francis of Assisi Church near Beeston in Leeds before celebrating at Wentbridge House . The red brick church offered some good photo opportunities inside and a relaxed priest helped further, with the weather outside not too good (Unless you like a deluge of rain) we shot a number of images inside the church before making the trip to Wentbridge House.

Thankfully on arrival at Wentbridge, the weather wasn't as bad and we managed to make use of the lawns for photos of the bride and groom. Following the first dance I was able to take the bride and groom outdoors for some after dark images around the hotel.

Catherine and Maurice Added: We had a fantastic day on Saturday and this was captured perfectly by the photos you took. So many people commented about how artistic and beautiful the shots are and our guests especially enjoyed seeing photos from the morning on screen during the evening reception. Chris did not intrude upon the day but was able to direct photos and get the best from all of the wedding party for each photograph. Many thanks for your professionalism!! Catherine & Maurice xxx

Carol Added: As Catherine's eldest sister I would just like to let you know how much she appreciated your participation on her wedding day in making it such a memorable event. I have since looked at the photos (many times) and enjoy re - living the day.

Sarah Added: Although I didn't attend the wedding a friend who did has shown me the photos online, they are amazing! Just had to say how well the day was covered, I'm sure Catherine and Maurice will be very pleased with their photos.

Having had their pre-wedding shoot back in Easter (Doesn't that seem a long time ago now) it was good to meet up with Chris and Lea again on Friday.

888 - 8th of August 08, thankfully Chris and Lea decided not to marry 8AM! Instead choosing a more respectable lunchtime ceremony for their wedding at Cedar Court in Huddersfield.

Jessica and Jonathon were married at Waterton Park near Wakefield on Sunday. The weather again remained good (Three days running!) and so after the civil ceremony we were able to use the scenic backdrops of the island for family photos. Following the wedding breakfast we headed off to a location which I'd scouted out a few days before. Here we were able to make use of a cornfield and surrounding buildings before quickly returning to Waterton for the evening reception. The evening was rounded off after dark with photos around the island.

Jessica Added: Sorry its taken so long, but I just wanted to say thank-you so much for the wedding pictures they are beautiful we are so pleased with them.  It might take us a while to pick them for the album because we like them all!!  So many people have so many lovely things about the pictures and your professionalism on the day.

2nd August Wedding, Burntwood Court Hotel - Antony and Della

The house will be busy warned Della, with eight bridesmaids we were expecting pandemonium, however as we arrived at Della's parents house there was an almost serene feeling to the place! Only a few weeks since their pre-wedding shoot meant Della was incredibly relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, allowing some superb preparation photos.

Following their civil ceremony and wedding breakfast at Burntwood Court we headed off for a few more photos of Antony and Della, a previously recce'd field and track providing the perfect opportunity for some more photos.

Antony and Della (Bride and Groom Added): Hi Chris, we are on are honeymoon but couldn't wait two weeks to see the photos as everyone keeps texting to say how great they are. We are really pleased with how they have turned out, there isn't one photo we don't like and don't know how we will choose the ones for our album. They are amazing, thanks, you did a great job. Della and Antony

Paul and Kelly married at Holy Trinity Church in Rothwell before moving onto Wentbridge House for their wedding breakfast and reception.

A decidedly pink colour theme to the wedding included pink details on the dress, pink car, pink balloons, pink cake, pink socks, pink....... Kelly simply beamed the whole day long, obviously loving every second, well everything was pink, surprisingly her favourite colour!
