July 29th Dale and Sophie - Pre wedding shoot

In preparation for their wedding at Holdsworth House at the end of next month, I caught up with Dale and Sophie at Newmillerdam for a pre-wedding shoot early Sunday evening.

July 27th 2007 Chris and Anna - wedding, Rogerthorpe Manor.

Chris and Anna were married yesterday in a civil ceremony at Rogerthorpe Manor near Pontefract. With champagne and beers outside the guests took full advantage of the dry weather - Quite a rarity at present.

July 24th 2007 - Freya Portraits
OK, not technically a portrait session as such but how can I not add a few photos of my own newly born daughter Freya. Born in the very early hours of the 24th the photographs show Freya literally a few hours old. Thank you to everyone for their messages of support since Tuesday.

July 23rd 2007 Joseph Portraits

An early morning shoot to catch six month old Joesph at his best helped prove the old adage of never work with children and animals, on this particular Monday Jospeh broke with routine and woke at 0530 and was ready for a long snooze when we were ready for the photos! As with all portrait sessions involving young children, the timings are flexible around their requirements and so if like today the shoot doesn't tie in with their routine we can reschedule for free.

July 21st Andrew and Rachel - Wedding, Woolley Chruch to QEGs Wakefield
Married yesterday, Andrew and Rachel chose the quaint Woolley Church for their wedding ceremony followed by a reception at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School (QEGs) where Andrew teaches. The schools older buildings proved an ideal location for the style of photos Andrew and Rachel were looking for.

July 20th 2007 Steve and Michelle - Wedding, Harewood House, Leeds
Steve and Michelle were married Friday 20th at Harewood House, Leeds. The recently refurbished Courtyard provided the ideal wedding venue for their civil ceremony and reception. We also had access to the house and gardens, providing stunning backdrops and locations for their wedding photographs

July 17th 2007 Sam and Anna - Pre-wedding shoot at Waterton Park
Getting married later in the year Sam and Anna met up with me at Walton Hall at Waterton Park, their reception venue for a pre-wedding shoot on Tuesday evening. Meeting up at Waterton Park was ideal as it allowed us to discuss photo locations, angles and allowed  Sam and Anna a chance to get to grips with being in front of the camera.

July 15th 2007 Mick and Dee, Wedding, Oakwood Hall Bingley
Mick and Dee chose the charming Oakwood Hall in Bingley for their wedding ceremony and reception. Inside the Hall offered some good locations for photographs and the staff kindly allowed guests the chance to throw their confetti indoors.

July 14th 2007 Bryony and Rhodri, Wedding, St Mary's Church Badsworth to Rogerthorpe Manor.
Bryony and Rhodri were married yesterday at the picturesque St Mary's church in Badsworth. Arriving in a horse and carriage Bryony looked stunning in her champagne Cosmabella dress.

Following their ceremony Bryony an Rhodri were treated to a champagne carriage ride whilst their guests made the short journey to nearby Rogerthorpe Manor where everyone enjoyed the good weather and Canopies.

Late evening the light was fantastic with a warm glow and long shadows, making the most of it, we headed back outdoors for some more photographs.

July 13th 2007 Marie and Gary, Wedding, Castleford Parish Church to Rogerthorpe Manor

Marie and Gary were married Friday at Castleford Parish Church, following prep and plenty of Bucks Fizz and bacon sandwiches at home, Marie arrived at Castleford Parish Church to marry Gary in an immaculate vintage cream Bentley. Although the weather tried it's best spirits weren't dampened and we even managed to get out doors for a few photos.

July 7th 2007 - Matt and Tracy, Wedding, Whitewater Hotel, Newby Bridge near Windermere.

Finally a break in the weather! The first wedding in what seems like and age since it has stayed dry all the way through the morning preparations and the photos. 7th of July 07 (777) certainly came good.

Being so close to Windermere, how could we resist the opportunity to head off and find a jetty for some close to the water photos. Handily a nearby rowing boat was put to use for some further impromptu  photographs.

July 2nd 2007 - Marie and Gary Pre-wedding shoot
With the wedding only a couple of weeks away I met up with Marie and Gary for their pre-wedding shoot at nothing more exciting than a couple of old garages and a car park. The rustic colourful feel was exactly what they were looking for and have decided to use one of the photos as a signing board on their big day at Rogerthorpe Manor next Friday.

July 1st 2007 - Karl and Clare Wedding, Tankersley Manor near Sheffield.
Claire was incredibly chilled out during the preparation photos, there was even time to catch some photographs of Carl getting ready nearby.

Arriving bat Tankersley Manor by horse and carriage, Clare and  Carl in the old Crook Barn. Following the ceremony all 170 guests gathered outside for a large group photograph and to watch the happy couple release a pair of white doves.

June 30th - Steve and Jenna, Wedding, Snaith Church
Although the weather didn't really play ball for the majority of the day it was at least dry as Jenna arrived at church.  Following the ceremony guests stayed inside for the formal photographs. (Although there was still plenty of water inside as sadly a couple of nights earlier some kind soul had helped themselves to a lot of the lead from the church roof).

Once at the reception venue Steve and Jenna braved the elements for some quick under brolley outdoor photographs.

June 29th Chris and Ruth, Wedding, Altofts and Brooklands, Barnsley

Following their pre-wedding shoot earlier in the year it was good to catch up with Chris and Ruth again on Friday.

Following their ceremony in Altofts we headed off to Newmillerdam for some formal and informal photographs of the bride and groom before meeting back up with their guests at Brooklands hotel in Barnsley.
