The last wedding of 2008 for me was that of Lee and Natalie's held at Brooklands Hotel near Barnsley. Lee and Natalie had chosen to celebrate their wedding in the Bistro and evening reception in Scarletts.

With less than an hour between the ceremony and the start of the wedding breakfast we worked quickly on the formal family groups outdoors before returning inside for the drinks reception. Following the speeches and wedding breakfast we met up again and used the interior of the hotel for Lee and Natalie's photos. Although Brooklands doesn't have the prettiest of exteriors, inside the place is a gold mine for photography!

The last wedding before Christmas, it was great to really get into the festive spirit with Richard and Rachael as they celebrated their wedding on Sunday. The wedding ceremony took place in the church of St Peter's and St Leonard's at Horbury.

Thankfully on a cold dark December day the inside the church was very bright and warm, the vicar allowing photos during the ceremony was  a great bonus for Richard and Rachael as it meant their wedding album will be able to tell the story of the whole day.

Following the ceremony we remained inside the church for some formal family photographs before the quick trip to Bagden Hall in Scissett for the wedding reception. Our arrival at Bagden Hall rather fortuitously coincided with a dry spell and we were able to quickly photograph Richard and Rachael in the grounds before dusk.

During the evening Richard and Rachael were surprised with a firework display, the closely guarded secret ensured that neither the bride or groom had any inclination of the display. The firework image swill make a great ending to their Eros wedding album.

The photography brief  for Richard and Beverley's wedding at Hazlewood Castle on Friday was quite simple, literally a couple of formals, no posed bride and groom shots, definitely no kissing and just natural reportage style images......

I met up with Neil and Claire on Sunday morning at Woodlands Hotel in Leeds for a pre-wedding photo shoot. Neil and Claire will me marrying at Woodlands in February next year.

Blue skies! (For the last three years, the first Saturday in December has been great weather, bloomin' cold but bright!).

Following on from their pre-wedding shoot a few weeks ago, Gemma and Will married in a civil wedding ceremony on Saturday at Monk Fryston Hall. Making the most of the weather and stunning Gemma and Will had their photos, and those with guests outside. Working very quickly, but beginning to suspect that our toes had dropped off we were soon back inside to the cosy warm fire and drinks reception. The guests seemed to appreciate the speed and judging by the huge round of applause during the evening screen display they didn't' think the photos were too bad either!

During the evening we headed to the bridal suite for some more photos, the dark room photographs make stunning spreads in Graphistudio albums.

George and Joanne married Friday in a civil ceremony at Wentbridge House near Pontefract. The black and white themed wedding was carried into Joanne's wedding dress which featured black detailing, George sported an unusual striped cravat.

With speeches before the meal the speakers were able to get the dreaded dead out of the way and enjoy their meal, although Joanne's Dad did manage two speeches! During the evening the guests were entertained by a Frank Sinatra impersonator.
