What a difference a day makes! Sunday morning and it's back to Hazlewood Castle for the wedding of Simon and Helen, only this time we have almost no wind and a gin clear sky. After  a few minutes deliberation Alex reckons the big thing in the sky could be the sun, although it was shining only last Saturday, the cold and wind from the week quickly make us forget!

The following is a short clip of images from Simon and Helen's wedding on Sunday at Hazlewood Castle. The majority of these photographs were used in the screen show during their evening reception. I've added a first dance and a few night shots to complete the story.

The following montage clip features the images we used in Tom and Alis large screen evening photo display on the big screen.

A strong cold northerly wind kept things cool and confined a lot of the wedding photography to indoors, thankfully Hazlewood Castle has some stunning rooms and decor.

The evening reception featured Ceilidh band The Foolish Virgins who successfully managed to have almost every guest up and dancing within seconds.

Although Graphistudio the supplier of my Italian story book wedding albums offer a low cost design service I find that all their albums look the same and there's no creative freedom in their design as it's simply a drag and drop system. By designing all my own wedding albums I not only get your input in how you'd like your album to look but I can link in my shooting style with how I'd envisage the finished photograph being presented within the album.

It's been a while since I last posted a new wedding album layout in the blog so here goes...

Wayne and Lucy married late August 2008 in Bradford before celebrating at The Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley. Click play - The movie may take a second or ten to load.

Sue and Alex married on Saturday at Christchurch in Barnsley before travelling to Bagden Hall near Huddersfield for their wedding reception. See the movie trailer below.

With glorious blue skies and little wind the wedding had all the makings of a summers day and keeping the guests outside for the brief spell during the more formal family groups was no problem. Roll on summer!

Following their pre-wedding meeting Sue called me to say she had a surprise for Alex in the form of a VW camper van to take him to the church. Although not a traditional wedding car or the camper was a great prop for the photos with Alex a keen  fan of the classic camper was more than happy to pose inside and outside the van.

No wedding album from Bagden Hall can be complete without some after dark images and Sue and Alex seized the opportunity after their first dance to head out front for some more photos.

Sunday Morning I met up with Noel and Amanda at Hazlewood Castle to run through their wedding plans and draw up the days photography schedule for their wedding in April. Following a chat and coffee we headed off for a pre-wedding shoot in the warm spring sun.

Matt and Heather are marrying in early April at Waterton Park. For something a little different to the grounds of Waterton Matt and Heather met up with me at Newmillerdam for a pre-wedding shoot. One of the images will be used as their signature print in a signing frame on their wedding day.

Curtis added: Nice images.  You really captured the romance between Matt and Heather.  Great photography!

Following a number of pre-wedding shoots of late at Hazlewood Castle it was back onto familiar ground on Saturday for Richard and Lauren's wedding. Following an intimate civil ceremony the couple were blessed in the chapel of St Leonard's with all their family and friends present.

Although a little gusty, the weather held off and allowed us to use the steps in front of the Great Hall for the more formal images before a short trip around the grounds allowed us plenty of photos of just Lauren and Richard. This time also allows the newly weds some time alone, an all to precious commodity on your wedding day.

Following the first dance guests gathered outside for a surprise firework display.

Justin and Lauren married in Leybrun North Yorkshire before celebrating their wedding reception at the Blue Lion East Witton. Their intimate wedding was incredibly relaxed and great fun to attend with some great photo opportunities at both venues.

On the morning of the wedding Justin was presented with a Little Black book from Lauren's Boudoir Shoot earlier in the year (see blog post below).

Following their wedding breakfast at the Blue Lion wedding guests boarded a specially commissioned red Routemaster bus for a tour of the local villages sampling the fine ales from the nearby Black Sheep Brewery at Masham.

Lauren Added: I just wanted to say thank you to both you and Lauren for Saturday, not just for taking our photos which I'm sure will be fabulous, but also for helping me when I was running round like an idiot half an hour before the service...I never knew you were so good at table decorating!!  Justin absolutely loved the photo album.

Lauren was one of the first brides to book in for a Bridal Boudoir shoot and after seeing the results from the shoot back in January she was adamant they must appear on the website! I suggested waiting until after the wedding just in case the groom (yeah, like they ever look here!) saw them.

Now married the little black book was presented to Justin on the morning of the wedding day and made a fantastic gift  - see the blog post above.

Justin Added: I know my wife is hot, but she is red-hot in this album! Wow, it took my breath away when I opened it on the morning of our wedding - what a fantastic gift that I will have forever...especially when she's 70!!

Lauren Added: I've just received my album and absolutely love it! I can't wait for my husband-to-be to see it. Having had a baby just 9 months ago, I was rather nervous, but the nerves didn't last long and I had such a fantastic time doing the shoot - it was great fun and I want to do it again!!! Thank you Chris & Joanne x

With the sun shining high in the sky you'd be forgiven for thinking it was mid summer, the long coats were an obvious give away! Sam and Ben are marrying at Waterton Park later this year and the island provided the perfect setting for their pre-wedding shoot.

At the end of the photo session Sam confided in me that she'd been very apprehensive about the idea of the shoot but had really enjoyed it and was now even looking forward to the photos on the day!

A cold and early morning pre wedding shoot with Mark and Tolla at Hazlewood Castle. Mark and Tolla have chosen Hazlewood Castle for their wedding in a few months time.
