An excellent wedding fayre this weekend at Waterton Park. With a large display area downstairs in Squires Bar it was perfect to set up my new display stand (Below). The fayre also allowed me the chance to set up the evening preview screen in a separate area, allowing prospective bride and grooms the chance to see the screen in action.

Thanks to all who stopped by and of course even more so to those who have since booked. (with the 2009 diary already full it was hard telling plenty of excited brides that I was already booked for their wedding date).

29th November - Wedding, Richard and Rebecca - Waterton Park, Wakefield

So you thought last Saturday was cold, well this weekend it was even colder! The mist which had formed late last night had stayed put and so on arrival at Waterton Park this morning we were greeted by freezing temperatures and some where through the freezing clag we were sure you could make out Walton Hall.

Following the ceremony it was time to put a brave face on things and head into the outdoors for the photos. Richard and Rebecca - you were both great, thanks for sticking things out, hope the Caribbean honey moon is a little warmer!

Rebecca and Richard added: Chris, words cannot describe how absolutely amazing our wedding pictures are. We had every faith in you before the day but now looking at the actual photos, you have taken our breath away. You have captured the day in such a way that just looking at the photos gives us memories that will last forever and more than we could have ever hoped for. Thank you so much for everything. Your services will be extremely highly recommended.

A pre-wedding shoot almost exactly one month ago was a great warm up exercise for Luke and Emma who married Friday at Waterton park. With cold weather giving everyone the shivers we quickly rattled off the posed family photos and some of Luke and Emma before Emma's wedding day surprise for Luke arrived in the form of a claret coloured Jet-ranger Helicopter, It tied in with the colour theme!

Although Luke and Emma live a forty minute drive away from Waterton, in the Helicopter it took only five and so after playing at house spotting the couple took in some of the local sights before returning to Waterton Park for the wedding breakfast.

David and Lindsay married on Saturday at Barrowford Church before celebrating their wedding at The Dunkenhalgh not far from Accrington in Lancashire. With the weather hovering somewhere near Freezing all day we took the photos in a series of short bursts allowing David and Lindsay time to warm up between.

The evening finished off with a number of photos in their room and then once again outside the hotel, where the they both said it felt warmer than before - that'll be the champagne guys!

Amy and Oliver are marrying next year at Carlton Towers near Snaith. We met up on Tuesday at a very sunny Carlton Towers for a pre wedding shoot and to discuss their wedding photo requirements. Amy and Oliver's wedding will be the first at Carlton Towers following the renovation and creation of new bedrooms and a new bridal suite.

With a ceremony time of 1500 and sunset at 1605 it was going to be fun getting the most out of the available light before we resorted to night shooting. Abi and Marc were great fun to work with and keen to try out any ideas I had, resulting a number of superb images (even if I do say so myself!) for their wedding album.

Marrying just over three weeks ago in a very sunny Florida, John and Deborah celebrated their wedding with a reception for family and friends at Walton Hall, Waterton Park Wakefield on Saturday.

John and Deborah are mixing their storybook wedding album with photos from Florida and from the reception at Waterton Park. Once the alum design is completed I'll add some examples here.

Simon and Claire are marrying at Burntwood Court in 2010, but shortly after booking they were keen to organise a pre-wedding shoot to enable them to use the images on wedding stationery and Save the date cards. The autumnal colours were fantastic.

Bryn and Kate married in St Anne's Cathedral in Leeds city centre on Saturday before celebrating their wedding reception at Burntwood Court near Brierley.

Kate and Bryn had asked for both their pre-wedding preparations covering so whilst Lauren joined Bryn and his groomsmen at the Radisson in Leeds, I headed off to Kate's Parents house in Pontefract for the girly stuff.

Hair, make up and champagne later (Not me, Kate), I joined Lauren and the men in Leeds where after coaxing them from Browns we made the short journey to Millenium square for some pre-wedding photos. Following the wedding ceremony in the Nearby Cathedral of St Anne's we took the bridal party and close family back to the square for some more photographs whilst the rest of the guests made their way to Burntwood Court, again a bus provided by the bride and groom was utilised by many of the guests.

The reception at Burntwood Court allowed us plenty of time for informal shooting and also a chance to get some photos of the fantastic looking room where the wedding breakfast would take place. Bryn and Kate had chosen a black and white dance floor to complement their room decoration. Wedding guests were also able to add their messages of good will and congratulations to the signing board we had provided using one of their pre-wedding shoot photographs.

Following speeches the couple danced to Lone Star's 'Amazed' before excellent local band The Solicitors took to the stage and to get everyone up on the dance floor.
