Build a stunning portfolio - 2 Bridal Models – Off Camera Flash, Video light and natural light

Build your wedding portfolio with a day of photography and photoshop skills training at the exclusive castle style venue near York. The stunning wedding venue surrounded by acres of grounds and woodland offers amazing photographic locations inside and out. The day will be about wedding photography we’ll start the day with our first bride before changing models after lunch. This will enable you to shoot two different brides and be able to shoot some stunning portfolio images throughout the day in a variety of locations. Building photography experience and images that will help you book and shoot weddings with more confidence. With lost of practical, hands on learning and real world advice you’ll come away with the knowledge to create the images that will wow your clients.
Portfolio training days are designed to help build your knowledge and confidence with real world advice and training that can be easily replicated on a wedding day.

During the day we intend to do as much of the following as possible.
Woodland photo shoot – The woods will offer a number of fantastic photo opportunities of the bride as we use natural light, video light and off camera flash. With Blossom and Bluebells we’ll be spoilt for choice with locations.
Indoor photo session - When the weathers not so good and you’re forced to shoot indoors what can you do ? Chris will guide you through making the most of what you’ve got including finding the best natural light and the use of video light / off camera flash.
Exterior photo session – We’ll use the Grounds and other features of Hazlewood Castle as we explore off camera flash, natural light and creating images that not only look great in your portfolio but also wow your clients.
This course is aimed at anyone wanting a great portfolio or perhaps a refresh on technique. it is suited to all skill levels, whether an aspiring pro or you’ve been in the business for several years.

Equipment you’ll require:
Camera with lenses ranging from wide angle to about 200mm Flashgun and ideally a means to fire off camera whether a cable or wireless trigger.
Waterproof clothing, weddings don’t stop if the weathers bad and we’ll aim to shoot outdoors even if the weathers not so good.

Anyone wishing to stay overnight at Hazlewood Castle either the day before or on the day can book a special delegate rate of £80 per room dinner bed and breakfast.
Conditions of booking: All monies paid are non-refundable. Images taken on the workshop maybe used for marketing purposes including website and print they cannot be used for qualifications or competition entries. Whilst we aim to cover the full itinerary for the day we cannot be held responsible if due to factors outside our control we are unable to complete any part of the days course.
