An intensive one day business and marketing course aimed at wedding photographers to prepare you for the year ahead (and subsequent years). Helping you maximise your wedding enquiries and convert to bookings and all with minimum costs.

The program will start at 0930 with tea and coffee available from 0900. We’ll finish at 1700 but then have a general Q&A session for anything wedding and photography related

Everything we talk about and information I present will be real world and my own experience, I’ll explain my mistakes along the way, my successes and what works, there’s no gobbledygook or waffle, just real world as that’s what helps.

Live Stream and Recorded Content – for the first time ever there’s the opportunity to attend in person or join remotely via live stream to a private facebook group. All attendees will have access to a follow up facebook group where you can rewatch the live stream until February 28th

Areas we’ll be covering and what you’ll take away:

Website:

  • Website structure and content – as well as simple does and don’ts for websites we’ll also spend time looking at the visitor flow and experience and how we can lead them to your contact details to convert a visitor to an interested enquiry. The main subjects we’ll cover will be: Content, Navigation, Galleries, Brand and Contact.
  • Content – It’s been over three years since I last sat down and chatted (or zoomed) with a prospective couple, we’ll look at website content and catering for Gen Z couples and enquiries
  • Galleries – We’ll spend a little longer with galleries, looking at the importance of creating a gallery that fits your brand, style, and ensures your website plays to your strengths and your USP

Marketing:

  • Search engine results – both Google and AI searches – Building content quickly and easily to help your website rank and convert visitors to enquiries whilst building a longer term strategy that will strengthen your position and improve search results. I’ll be explaining both traditional and AI searches
  • Venue referrals – Referrals account for the majority of my wedding bookings, with minimal cash spend required, building a strong brand and referral network leads to positive enquiriesI will explain and show how I have created a referral network to become a preferred supplier at many wedding venues – around 50% of my wedding bookings come from venue referrals, (even for venues where I’m not actually referred!), although often seen as chicken and egg situation, “how can I be referred when I’ve never worked there?” we need to think a little outside the box and plan for the longer term, I promise I’m not going to suggest a styled shoot!
  • Couples and their guest referrals – Simple ideas and tips to turn every wedding guest into a potential referrer and also a potential purchaser from your online galleries
  • Suppliers and other photographers – Networking and helping other suppliers can quickly and easily deliver results. I’ll explain how I manage this with minimal time spent.
  • Online directories – Wedding directories can be very hit and miss. For some photographers they work brilliantly, for others they’re a complete waste of hundreds or even thousands of pounds. There’s no magic formula, but after years of working with photographers I’ve put together a simple strategy that gets results. By choosing the right directories and using them to exploit their strengths, we’ll look at how you can boost enquiries without spending a fortune and, more importantly, turn those enquiries into bookings.
  • Wedding Fayres / Fairs / Exhibitions – Call them what you will – I attend a couple of wedding fayres each year, as you might have guessed by now, the theme is minimum spend and minimal time, but they work and lead to bookings, often on the day itself. Very importantly at a low cost per booking. I’ll even have my wedding fayre stand set up as a visual aid for the day.
  • Social Media – creating a social media strategy that works, I’ll admit, I’m terrible at social media posting, it’s always pushed to the back of the jobs list and when we run out of time, it falls by the wayside. During this section we’ll look at how we can avoid this, create a simple strategy and target our ideal clients across multiple platforms.

Client Interaction – enquiry to booking:

From the initial enquiry to the booking confirmation I’ll walk through my process to give an insight to how enquiries and our interactions have changed and more importantly how our future customers are interacting and reacting.

  • Methods of contact
  • Replies and tailored responses
  • How to minimise ghosting
  • Breaking down obstacles to booking
  • understanding the process and follow ups with booking trends
