Gold Awards from The Societies of Photographers | Award winning photographer
Following on form my success with the Guild of Photographers this month, I also received three Gold Awards from the Societies of Photographers, formerly the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.
Of over 1100 images entered, just over thirty scored Gold and three of these were mine including my first ever Gold in the wedding category. This notoriously hard category sees only a handful of Gold Scoring images each year and I’m proud to say one of those was taken by me!
A waterlogged lone tree in Snowdonia. taken just before sunrise in September, the photograph of the llanberis lone tree scored a gold and was also awarded Judges Choice. This photograph has now scored gold with both The Societies and The Guild of Photographers.

A stag under a double rainbow in Glencoe last winter. a case of right place and right time for this photograph.
