Wedding photography at Rudding Park, Harrogate North Yorkshire

Daisy and Brad chose the beautiful Rudding Park near Harrogate for their wedding venue, the onsite chapel provided the perfect location for their celebrant wedding ceremony followed by a wedding reception in the hotel.

I recently asked Daisy about her wedding day, read on to find out more about Daisy and Brad’s Rudding Park dream wedding.

You were married at Rudding Park, near Harrogate – did you explore many wedding venues, and what made Rudding Park stand out?

“Honestly, we didn’t need to look anywhere else – it was always going to be Rudding Park for us!

This place holds so many wonderful memories, from family holidays at the lodges to relaxing spa breaks – it’s always felt like a home away from home.

What really made Rudding Park stand out as our dream wedding venue was the incredible setting. Having the chance to say our vows in the stunning onsite chapel, surrounded by the beautifully landscaped gardens and the elegant architecture of Rudding Park, was just magical.

And of course, being able to make a weekend of it with the luxurious hotel rooms and award-winning spa made it feel like the perfect all-in-one wedding experience. For us, Rudding Park wasn’t just a wedding venue – it was the perfect backdrop for the wedding day we’d always dreamed of.”

Please tell me about the proposal, who proposed, where etc

Brad proposed in Disney World Florida on the Polynesian Village beach just after the fireworks. It was a huge surprise I was not expecting it at all! We then celebrated at the Magic Kingdom by exploring park and going on the rides after hours.

Who provided your wedding flowers and what type of flowers / bouquet did you choose?

Our amazing wedding flowers were created by Flowers by Colette. She made me a hand tied bouquet with white roses, white freesia, white lisianthus, spray roses and mixed foliage.

Saying yes to the dress – how long did it take to find “the one,” and where did your dream dress come from?

Like many brides, I thought I’d found the one in every boutique we visited – and we visited four in total! Each wedding dress had something special, but deep down I knew I hadn’t truly found the dress yet. Then came that magical moment… the one where you don’t want to take it off, and you certainly can’t walk away. That’s when I knew.

I found my dream dress – a stunning Richard Designs gown – at Treasured Brides a charming boutique nestled just outside of York.

The experience was everything I’d hoped for: personal, luxurious, and completely unforgettable. The gown made me feel elegant, confident, and 100% bridal – the perfect fit for our romantic wedding day.

For any bride-to-be planning their wedding, I can’t recommend taking your time enough. When you find the right dress, you just know – and it’s all part of the magic.

What made your wedding day feel truly special to you both? Were there any personal touches that meant a lot?

Our wedding day was everything we’d dreamed of – and more! One of the things that made it feel so incredibly special was how personal it all felt. The team at Rudding Park were absolutely fantastic – nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to bring every detail of my wedding plans to life.

But if we had to choose one standout moment, it would be having our dogs there with us. That was non-negotiable for us – they’re part of our family! Seeing them walk down the aisle of the chapel was such an emotional and joyful moment, and having their paw prints “sign” our wedding ceremony made it even more unforgettable.

It’s those personal, heartfelt touches that made our wedding not just beautiful, but completely us. And honestly, moments like those make for the most amazing wedding photography.

Do you have any tips and advice for couples planning their wedding day?

Our biggest piece of advice for planning your wedding? Prioritise what truly matters to you as a couple – and let the rest fall into place. It’s so easy to get caught up in the details, but when you focus on the meaningful moments and just go with the flow, everything has a way of working out beautifully.

We genuinely believe that everything happens for a reason, and all those little twists and turns in the planning journey lead you to your perfect wedding day. For us, that day unfolded at the stunning Rudding Park in Harrogate – from the heartfelt ceremony in the chapel to the magical moments throughout our day shared with family and friends.

So trust the process, stay true to your vision, and remember: the most incredible memories come from embracing the joy of the moment.

Tell me about your first dance, which song did you dance to and why you chose it?

We danced to Fleetwood Mac Everywhere. We both love Fleetwood Mac and the lyrics to that song.

What were your highlight moments of the day and memories you’ll cherish forever?

Honestly, we’ll cherish every single moment of our wedding day – from start to finish, the day was absolute perfection.

The ceremony in the chapel was a dream come true. It’s such a breathtakingly beautiful space, and the acoustics made the whole experience feel magical – it was like something from a fairytale.

One of our most unforgettable highlights, though, was having our dogs by our side. Seeing them walk down the aisle with us was incredibly emotional and so meaningful – they’re such a big part of our lives, and having them included made our day feel even more personal and special.

The whole atmosphere, the stunning grounds, the elegance of Rudding Park – it all came together so perfectly, and the memories (captured beautifully in our wedding photography!) are ones we’ll treasure forever.

Your wedding gallery has over 700 photographs – which is your favourite wedding photograph, and why?

Choosing just one favourite from our stunning wedding gallery is nearly impossible – every image brings back such beautiful memories of our wedding day. But if we had to pick just one, it would be image 0311 – a heartwarming moment of us both with our two dogs, Charlie and Lokie, just outside the iconic Rudding Park entrance.

This particular wedding photograph is everything to us. It perfectly captures our joy, our love, and what truly matters most — our little family. The smiles, the setting, the light… it’s pure magic. And of course, the dogs were absolute stars – so well-behaved and naturally photogenic!

There’s something so special about seeing your whole world in a single frame, and this photo does exactly that. It’s a timeless reminder of the happiest day of our lives, set against the elegant backdrop of one of the most breathtaking wedding venues in Yorkshire.
